Resolved Question: Do you think that being physically fit change the way you are treated by others?

Do you think that people who are fit get better treatment in life? Do men with muscular physique get more attention from women? Do fit women get more attention from men? If you are fit, do you notice that you are getting more stares, smiles from strangers? Do people want to strike up a conversation with you? Well, I think the answer to all of the above is a YES. Besides the obvious health benefits, active life style and fitness make you more appealing in everyday life and your interaction with people... or does it? Does it also make you arrogant, cocky and overly confident? Does that possibly push some people away who are either less confident, insecure about themselves or those who perhaps feel threatened by your confidence? The stereotype is that you wear glasses, you don't pay attention to what clothes you own, you are probably overweight and a little insecure... But, you happen to be fit, you work out all the time, and all of the things I've mentioned before. Now, you are looking for a job. You come for an interview, and the interviewer is happens to fit the stereotype I just mentioned. We live in a NOT so perfect world, and people are not always 100% professional, and they judge you. He looks at you and immediately thinks: "look at this clown, he is probably dumb..." so he tries to fail you because he doesn't like you! He may think, well, if you are so "perfect", lets see if you can "walk on water"...... Read More »
